Interviewers have a tendency to ask questions regarding facts that you have stated in your resume. Thus be prepared to give responses to that. Rehearse with friends or relatives if need be, so that your answers are concise and effective. Don’t be long-winded. Also be ready to ask questions to show you are listening and responsive. Emphasize your strengths and state how you can benefit the company, not how the company can benefit you! Here are examples of common questions asked during interviews:
1. What are your responsibilities at your previous job and why did you leave that job? 2. What are your expectations of this job and what do you think we expect of you? 3. Name the most challenging situation you have encountered in work/school and how you overcome it. What has it taught you? 4. Can you handle stress and pressure? What was the last time you were in this situation, and how do you handle it? 5. What spur or motivate you? 6. Why do you think we should give you this job? 7. How do you define personal success? 8. Tell me more about yourself. Are you a team player? Can you work independently? 9. What do you see yourself in 5 years’ time? How do you plan to achieve those goals? 10. Tell me what you know about our company? And how you can contribute to us? These questions are non-exhaustive but are core questions which you should be prepared to answer at any interview. So now, go ahead and get ready for your interview, and Good luck!!
