Youths

South East CDC aims to build a vibrant and ‘happening' District for our youths to continually develop and engage them beyond the school's curriculum.

Over the years, the South East Youth to Youth (Y2Y) Network has engaged over 600 youths , supporting them in their efforts to reach out to other youths through meaningful projects. Youths in the Y2Y Network are empowered with skills, knowledge and resources to help them in their community efforts and initiatives.

Working on the premise of “from youths to youths” , young talents from all walks of life in Singapore are given the opportunity to know one another and share learning points. The Y2Y Network has also been an avenue for youths to express their ideas and realise their dreams and aspirations.

Some Y2Y Network Activities

•  Aspiration & Debate Camps
•  Short film productions, such as films on anti-gambling, racial harmony and environmental conservation
•  Annual Youth Fashion Fiesta
•  Youth campaigns
•  Youth-initiated projects, such as Project-Plus Factor and Cert Juniors @ South East

What's So Special About the Y2Y Network?

In each youth programme or initiative, younger youths will be inducted and mentored by the older youths with the guidance of the officers-in-charge at South East CDC. Each project thus serves as a recruitment point, as well as a training ground for both amateurs and older youths. They will get to learn different skills by being involved in our wide variety of events and projects.

These programmes are also good platforms for the youths to surface their own ideas and initiatives.
